Osteopathic treatment for meniscus injuries in Barcelona
The meniscus is a fibrocartilaginous tissue, the purpose of which is to facilitate movement of the two joint surfaces it separates.
Meniscus injuries may originate from sudden extensions of the leg, in which there is insufficient time for one of the menisci to move, with it thereby remaining trapped between the femur and the tibia. However, meniscus injuries may also be due to structural or bone problems in the patient. As a consequence, the knee may experience frequent blocking, and it is therefore important to identify the reason why the meniscus has stopped working the way it should.
Visiting the osteopath may permit total recovery in the event that the meniscus has not been damaged, or in the event that the meniscus has been damaged and an arthroscopy were necessary, it can facilitate a speedier recovery thereafter.
